US patent application 19/299,938, published in February 2026 as US 2026/0050423 A1, describes a code enhancement system that runs a trusted tool and several AI tools side by side. Each of them splits the input code into sections and produces an improved version of every section.
Every improved section is scored against the user's objectives, such as execution speed, memory use or maintainability. An AI-produced section is put forward only when its score compares favorably with the trusted tool's version of the same section. Dependent claims add rating how reliable each tool is, so later runs pick better tools. The application is pending and has not been granted.
