Role overview/responsibilities
  • Initial responsibilities will include identifying prospective opportunities and taking the relevant actions to make contact – this will be via cold calling, emails, social media, events and thought leadership. The applications of potential users for our product are vast and greenfield so you will work with sales to target relevant personas across multiple verticals. Including, financial services (buy side and sell side), retail, CPG, automotive, healthcare etc. The typical persona will be both business and technical so an understanding of technology, deployment and the many applications of data will be helpful.  
  • The people you will sell to will be senior and experienced in their field so the ability to articulate complex propositions and highlight the benefits and value will be key – someone who can think on their feet with the aptitude to digest new information fast. You will need to be able to influence prospective customers and get their attention!  
  • Additionally – The company has been building out its sales tech stack and has some great tools to assist in this process enabling the BDR to focus on the main task which will be initially to secure intro meetings.  
  • Over time responsibilities will grow and more of the end-to-end sales process will be inherited, this is a high growth opportunity.  
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a sales role  
  • Strong communication and time management skills 
  • Ideally from a SaaS or IT Sales background
  • Analytical, organised and enthusiastic 
  • Excited to be a part of a growing tech company
  • An interest and knowledge in the AI industry is beneficial
  • Resilient with a “make it happen” mentality
  • Consultative with a willingness and interest to explore new applications of AI in business
  • Proficient in MS Powerpoint and knowledge of hub spot CRM
  • The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and consultative as they will collaborate with internal teams to execute on outbound marketing strategies in order to create qualified leads for the growing sales team
  • Above all else – hustle and a desire to help build the next AI/ML unicorn  
  • The role would be perfect for someone looking to break into the AI/ML space, learn about sales and technology and build out a career in end-to-end enterprise sales within the DeepTech space
